Such a busy week! Topped it off last night with Santa Monica's Annual Pier Drive-In, (actually sitting in beach chairs) on the Pier for Friday night huge screened movies! Nothing more joyful than watching the classic, "Wizard of Oz" with a crowd of all ages, smiling, laughing, clapping, plus a full moon & summer-like evening weather! While "Hunger Games" is on next week, loved going back in time with this timeless movie!

Yay! Notre Dame Football is playing prime time tonight vs. Michigan State, 5pm! (Just started=ABC). Perfect time to watch the game at any number of Santa Monica bars/pubs! While I'd like to think of us Irish as peaceful vs. fighting (per the mascot), ready for a great game! I had previously mentioned about a 2012 Olympic Swimmer competing in the 200 Meter Breaststroke in London who I had recently met as a Santa Monica Lifeguard. A charismatic 24 year old, Azad's positive determination was that he could bring/speak positive change in what has become great turmoil, for he will be swimming on the Syrian team. Born in Saudi Arabia, he has lived in the USA since he was 7 years old. The following article further depicts his story. Happy 4th of July!!! Yes, I was up at 5am to watch my Wimbledon tennis fav, Djokovic play Mayer! A few nods while watching lead me to awake at 7:25am, Djokovic had won the 5th round (Love it!) yet w/ an 8:00am commitment to "be in" the Santa Monica July 4th Parade,joining Santa Monica Convention & Visitor's Bureau! It was a "hustle!" Rode the 2nd level of the Starline Tour Bus, the Parade pure joy w/ so many "happy" faces! Happy Day to all!!
