Santa Monica beach is 3.5 miles long.
With the daytime weather usually in
the mid 60's, low 70's, (winter), and
80's in the summer, with little humidity
(if ever), and the beautiful Santa Monica,
California sunshine shining at least 340
days a year, what travel destination could
be better? The beaches are raked daily, the
dolphins can often be seen frolicking in the
morning sea, and the 22 mile bike path
on the beach lends itself to healthy fitness
& happiness, in clean, fresh ocean air!
Oh yes, there are also lifeguard stations,
eateries nearby, beach rentals, and
disability accessibility. From the popular
walking haven, Palisades Park, down the
wooden steps to the sand, & the Santa
Monica Pier, Santa Monica beaches are
the favored "Hotspot" to enjoy a peaceful
ocean oasis away from home .

Summer 2008, "GLOW" began:
It was an all night event where
unique and exciting events took
place from dusk till dawn. These
12 hours included music, theatre,
spoken word, visual arts & more.
Like the celebratory grunion days,
GLOW events glimmered & shined!

Surfing is available year
around. The Summer months
allow surfing between
lifeguard towers 18 & 20.
(Pico Blvd. & Bay Street),
plus 28 & 29, (Pier St. &
Ashland Ave).
