Jovanotti’s music has transformed from its early roots in hip-hop and rap to a broader hybrid, incorporating pointed lyrics which address philosophical, religious, social, and political issues. Jace Everette: Indiana-born, Texas-raised, singer/songwriter became enamored by both gospel music and the works of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings in his teenage years. Ana Tijoux: Chilean hip-hop artist. Rhyming first in French, then later in Spanish, Tijoux found a platform to talk about all kinds of things in a way that was cathartic.

America's "Mother Road", Route 66 Easily the best-known highway in the world. November 11, 2009 People have traversed it religiously from Chicago to Santa Monica and vice-versa. "Pier to Pier", as they tell it, referring to Chicago's Navy Pier and the Santa Monica Pier as its two terminal points. But it's never really been "Pier to Pier". Not officially, anyway. That is, not until now.
In a ceremony which included classic cars, live and recorded renditions of Troup's unforgettable tune, and legions of dedicated fans of the famous "Main Street of America", the Santa Monica Pier was given the very official title of "The End of Route 66" by The Route 66 Alliance.
A replica of the long-lost "End of the Trail" sign was unveiled to solidify the marked terminus.
